#Tohmeagainstcovid19
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared on March 11, 2020, the outbreak of COVID-19, a global pandemic. This pandemic has reached over 118 countries and affected hundreds of thousands of people.
By June 2020, more than 7 million cases are confirmed worldwide, with over 400,000 deaths*.
In Lebanon, the first confirmed case was announced on February 21. By June, 1331 cases were confirmed,
with a total death toll of 30. On March 6, the Minister of Health Hamad Hassan declared that "Lebanon is no
longer in the Coronavirus containment stage".
Help vulnerable families survive the crisis
This pandemic has left our country’s vulnerable families that were already suffering from the economic crisis
and unemployment, with little to no means to cope with this additional hardship.
In these hard times, and as Coronavirus continues to spread, we need your help to provide vital supplies to
affected families. This is your chance to support your country’s families and individuals in this time of uncertainty.
*This data only includes people who were tested. It also changes rapidly and might not reflect some cases still being reported.
TOHME FOUNDATIONS’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19
(Our Covid-19 projects)
Our Covid-19 related interventions varies between short and long term projects; we have started by adding
sanitary kiosks next to Church of the Ascension (Al Saoud) and Saint Georges Church in Dbayeh, in an attempt
to make sanitary aids available to individuals entering and leaving the churches.
